Easy

Discover the Baptistery and the Opera del Duomo Museum with a multilingual audio guide enriched by live expert commentary from a professional guide available throughout the experience in Italian and English

Piazza del Duomo offers a breathtaking setting, especially at sunset, when the sunlight enhances the polychrome marble façades of Florence’s religious complex. The harmonious blend of green, white, and red marble reflects centuries of architectural evolution.

Construction of the complex spanned nearly four centuries: the Baptistery dates back to the 11th century, while the Dome was completed by Filippo Brunelleschi in the 15th century. With its imposing structure, the Dome dominates the skyline and represents the heart of Florence.

The experience begins at the Baptistery, one of the city’s oldest and most significant buildings. Through carefully curated multilingual audio content, created by our art historians, you will explore the magnificent Byzantine mosaics decorating the vault and admire Lorenzo Ghiberti’s masterpiece, the east doors known as the “Gate of Paradise.”

The visit continues at the Opera del Duomo Museum, home to invaluable original artworks from the Cathedral complex. Here, you will encounter masterpieces that narrate the artistic and spiritual history of Florence.

This innovative tour format combines the flexibility of a multilingual audio guide with live expert commentary from a professional guide who accompanies the group throughout the experience. The guide is available in Italian and English to provide additional insights, contextual explanations, and to answer your questions in real time - ensuring a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging visit.

With the same ticket used for the tour, you may also visit the Cathedral and the Crypt independently at your own pace.
